Scott Signore
Scott is principal and CEO of Matter Communications. After holding senior positions at both large and small public relations agencies, he founded Matter with a goal of creating a PR firm that would have a more direct results-based impact on clients' businesses. Since Matter's founding in 2003, the company has grown from an organization serving two clients to 35 at the end of 2009. Under Scott's guidance the company's annual revenue has increased in that same time period to more than $5 million. This growth can be directly attributed to the consistent delivery of high-impact results that have led to year-over-year account expansion and minimal client turnover.
Prior to launching Matter, Scott was senior vice president at Boston-based FitzGerald Communications, now a part of Fleishman-Hillard, where he managed some of the agency's highest profile accounts including ADT, Tyco Electronics M/A-COM and Texas Instruments. In addition to his PR agency experience, Scott also held in-house sales and marketing positions at Agfa Corporation and Eastman Kodak. At Agfa, Scott also managed all PR, marketing and product communications activities for the Desktop Digital Imaging Group, prior to which he was PR manager with both domestic and global responsibilities. Scott has also held positions at Shandwick International, Miller/Shandwick Technologies and Dorf & Stanton Communications as part of high-profile consumer and business-to-business technology account teams, including Kimberly-Clark, Konica-Minolta and Sharp Electronics.
Having amassed significant experience in the digital imaging industry, Scott actively supports relevant industry associations. He is a board member of the Photoimaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMDA), and a featured speaker who will deliver his perspective on "Becoming a PR Pro in Retail Imaging" at DIMA 2010 during the Photo Marketing Association International Convention and Trade Show in Anaheim, CA in February 2010. In addition, he consistently commits his own time and that of his staff to various non-profit causes. Matter has supported local-area initiatives including the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC), Wediko Children's Services (Boston, MA), Lowell's Boat Shop (Amesbury, MA), the Salvation Army (Newburyport, MA) and the Newburyport Youth Soccer Association.
