DaveZillion.com is an emerging online community that allows users to find friends and neighbors in their area who can help complete important household tasks and other do-it-yourself projects in a timely, cost-efficient manner. Matter Communications was tasked by DaveZillion to secure broadcast media coverage in key markets to quickly elevate the awareness of the company's mission, drive traffic to www.DaveZillion.com and increase site membership.

Beginning with New England and New York markets, Matter crafted a set of creative, timely outreach story angles to link DaveZillion.com and the activity of their members to several cultural trends. Storylines included how the recent recession has forced homeowners to save money, the increased use of social media and the Internet to forget grassroots connections and brining neighbors together to help each other.
