Scott Signore is principal and CEO of Matter Communications, a PR and social media agency with four offices nationwide, and a three-time “Agency of the Year” award winner. Scott launched Matter in 2003, just as multiple disciplines of communications (PR, social media, advertising) began to converge in meaningful and provocative ways. It was at this intersection that Matter set its sights and thrived, developing integrated storytelling programs for brands – across multiple mediums – for clients such as CVS/pharmacy, Lojack, Akamai, TycoIS, Lexar, Harris and dozens more.

Since its inception, Scott has grown Matter into a $15M+ enterprise with 100+ talented staff across five national offices, a dedicated in-house creative services group (including video, live broadcasting and web design) as well as an agency that regularly wins “Best Place to Work” awards from the Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal and others.
In August of 2010, PRWeek named Scott one of the industry’s “40 Under 40″ for the successful launch of a profitable PR agency, having grown by 20% or more for several years running – a trend that continues today. Prior to launching Matter, Scott was senior vice president at Boston-based FitzGerald Communications, now part of Fleishman-Hillard, managing high-profile accounts including ADT, Tyco Electronics M/A-COM and Texas Instruments.

A devoted family man, Scott draws strength to succeed from his beautiful wife and two daughters. An avid sailor, Scott also devotes time and energy to a lengthy list of non- and not-for-profit causes. Through financial contributions, sponsorships and volunteerism, Scott is actively involved with Anna Jaques Hospital (Newburyport, MA), the Newburyport Education Foundation (Newburyport, MA), and the Salvation Army (Newburyport, MA). In addition, Scott holds a Board of Directors position at the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center (Newburyport, MA), the Newburyport Youth Soccer Association (NYSA).
