New team members
Adding significant experience and expertise to an already top-notch team, these seasoned professionals, skilled in a wide array of public relations disciplines and client service, will help the agency bring its consistent high-level strategic and flawless tactical support to Matter’s growing roster of clients.
Ruth Bazinet joins Matter as an Account Manager in Matter’s Providence, RI office. Before joining the agency, she spent several years managing public relations and serving as a social media evangelist at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. Prior to that, Ruth worked at Schwartz Communications (now Schwartz MSL) where she supported public relations initiatives for a variety of high-tech companies, including Progress Software, Nuance Communications, VaporStream and Tabblo. Prior to joining Schwartz, Ruth spent four years in the Office of Public Affairs at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Susan Peters joins Matter as a Director with nearly 10 year of experience in consumer public relations and brand marketing. She has led a variety of product launches and campaigns for brands including Barbie, Nintendo, Kodak, IKEA, Cadbury Adams and more. A New Yorker at heart, Susie began her career at Ketchum in NYC before relocating to Los Angeles where she joined GolinHarris. Her strengths include building 360/holistic marketing strategies, event planning, social media engagement and producing activities that capitalize on consumer engagement leading towards positive brand exposure, consumer interest and ultimately helping to drive sales growth.
Jennifer Karin, Account Leader at Matter, is an award-winning writer and author with over 25 years of public relations and marketing communications experience in a variety of industries, including consumer goods, healthcare, high technology, and not-for-profit organizations. Jennifer has strategized and executed business-building programs for successful national and international brands such as Apple Computer, Boston Popcorn, Guest Quarters Suite Hotels, Hewlett-Packard, Home Portfolio, Malden Mills Polarfleece, Zoesis Studios, News International, and Motorola. Her social media experience includes the creation of an online community for Anna Jaques Hospital. She’s been in and out of the PR agency world, experiencing life as in-house counsel and as a consultant. Previous agency stops for Jennifer have included include Citigate Cunningham, Mullen Advertising, and Miller Communications (now Weber Shandwick).
