NEWBURYPORT, MA: Matter Communications has hired Parry Headrick as VP of marketing and communications, a newly created role at the firm.
Headrick, who started in the role at the beginning of this month, will work on new business development and marketing for the agency. He is reporting to Matter CEO Scott Signore.
“[Headrick] has helped agencies develop and share content, get it out to the market, and contribute directly to securing new clients and building a brand for an agency,” Signore said. “That’s the sweet spot of [Headrick’s] marketing know-how; it’s content rich, and he’s the right guy to work with us as we’ve expanded our offering to include [creative services group] Studio-C.”
Before joining Matter, Headrick was senior director of communications at Calypso Communications in New Hampshire. He also worked at Shift Communications in San Francisco for more than seven years, most recently as VP of marketing. While at Shift, he helped develop PR and social media strategies for b-to-b and consumer clients.
“His career has been about marketing opportunities and helping to secure new business. We’re really looking forward to his contributions,” Signore added.
Matter unveiled Studio-C, an in-house creative services group dedicated to producing visual content for brands, in September. The offering, led by VP Elise Ouellette, develops videos, social media content, photography, infographics, and graphic design for clients.
The firm also launched Impact Matters, a social media measurement service for consumer and b-to-b clients, in July.
