Helvetica Now is a new chapter in the story of perhaps the best-known typeface of all time, used by renowned global brands like Target, Toyota, Motorola, Panasonic, Harley Davidson and many more. Even the US government uses Helvetica on its federal tax forms. Monotype redrew and refit every character of the font family to introduce Helvetica Now: “It has everything we love about Helvetica and everything we need for typography today. This is not a revival. This is not a restoration. This is a statement.”

Matter’s motion graphics team had the opportunity to create the video for the global product launch. The punchy, fun and informative 1-minute video resides on all its channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, etc.), as well as the lead banner on the landing page for the new typeface.

The video remains Monotype’s highest performing video to date with 60 thousand views on YouTube and 359 thousand views on Vimeo. It has won numerous awards, including the Award of Excellence from the Videographer Awards, a Bronze Telly Award, a Gold W3 Award, a Platinum Dot Comm Award and most recently, a Gold Hatch Bowl at the Ad Club’s prestigious Hatch Awards.
