Newburyport, Mass. – Matter Communications, a full-service public relations agency specializing in high-technology and consumer markets, today announced the availability of its Interviews Matter media training package. By participating in comprehensive coaching sessions, spokespeople are evaluated, educated and trained in the art of media interaction.

“A confident, well-trained spokesperson can make all the difference when conveying a key message,” said Scott Signore, CEO of Matter. “We have built a training program that equips our clients to deal with any of the hurdles they might face in a media interview, press conference, or any other press-related situation. When the client is comfortable, they can focus on the information they want to deliver. Interviews are great opportunities to shine, and this training prepares our clients to do just that.”

Matter’s media training program is a comprehensive workshop designed to enhance verbal and non-verbal communication skills for different types of interviews to include in-person, video chat, phone and broadcast. The training team’s approach is friendly and through extensive on and off-camera training, participants will learn how to deliver an effective media interview with confidence and control.

The program includes training on the “Dos and Don’ts” in an interview situation, mock interviews to prepare spokespeople for various media channels, insight into what drives reporters and includes the use of videotaped practice interviews. This gives trainers and trainees the opportunity to review performances and to give specific, directed feedback for improvements.
