In collaboration with the Mass Technology Leadersh In collaboration with the Mass Technology Leadership Council, we asked “What is Boston’s Brand Problem?” How did the pandemic shine a light on issues of equity and access? And what opportunities for growth and positive change have come out of this past year’s challenges?So, we made a podcast to confront Boston’s sorted history around race and how the brand reputation of the city inhibits our ability to attract top talent and be the beacon of innovation for which so many strive.Now, we’re proud to share that our Podcast team's creativity and efforts have earned 2 Silver Awards in the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion category at The Anthem Awards!Selection as a winner not only demonstrates world class talent, insight, leadership, and execution, it is also a best-in-class example of the work leading the way in the Impact Industry. We’re incredibly proud of this accomplishment for our small but mighty Podcast team. Matter is on the MOOve! In early June, Matter head Matter is on the MOOve! It’s hard to believe we’ve crossed the halfway It’s hard to believe we’ve crossed the halfway point of 2021, but here we are. And there’s so much to report. Ted Lasso Season 2. Another big win at the Oscars for Pixar, with Soul walking off with two golden statuettes. Oh, and how could we not mention Loki? What a ride! And like the mythical Marvel trickster, we’ve accomplished a lot over the course of the last few months. Sure, we didn’t hunt an alternate version of ourselves while tearing down the fabric of time (spoiler!), but we’re equally proud of what we did in such a short period. From brand anthems to product announcements, hybrid events to award-winning podcasts – we’re stoked to present our Q2 2021 Video + Audio reel.

Clever – and delicious!
But Country Meats had a problem. Their brand and online presence didn’t match their high-quality brand values, and consequently their audience didn’t understand what made the Country Meats story so special. After all, Country Meats is more than just a healthy alternative to other snack-based fundraising options – it's a family-owned business that’s been helping organizations of all kinds for over 40 years since their CEO first came up with the idea in his family’s barn. They knew they needed to do something big and that they needed some help to do it.
Enter Matter’s digital and paid services teams.
“It’s been over a year since Country Meats first approached us about their branding project,” says Kendall Pope, Senior Account Executive for Country Meats. “We’ve had so much success in this time that in June we extended the relationship for another year. That way we can continue getting their story out and growing their brand awareness. Plus, the relationship goes deeper than just business and contracts. We have fun banter and a completely transparent rapport, and their team was always in such good spirits. I always looked forward to our check-ins and reviews.”
And the results of that strong relationship speak for themselves. As of Q1 2021
· Paid search efforts led to the highest sales month in company history (+95% compared to 2020)
· Paid social led to .97% Video View Rate (vs. .68% benchmark) and 1.25% Click Through Rate (vs .60% benchmark)
· Email Integration re-targeted audiences and resulted in $40K in sales and 64% conversion through a single sample-driven campaign
· Email campaigns held a 26% Open Rate (vs 18% benchmark) and a whopping 35% Click Through Rate (vs 13% benchmark)

Sure, we’ve got the head-over-heels, over-the-moon and out-here-taking-windy-walks-around-Newburyport-together vibes going on. But that’s not it – our romance focuses on real results, audience delight and boosting engagement with these gorgeous graphics. “Back in the day – like, way back – video games transported players to a flat, 2D world in which all manner of adventures, battles and epic princess rescues transpired. It was wild. And it was wicked different! Before that, kids were stuck in the real world throwing and kicking balls around outside and desperately trying to pass Go enough times to afford Boardwalk. (It was a sad time.)
