Like the season’s falling leaves, the media moves have been piling up. From top-tier outlets like ABC News and FOX News, and throughout industries including fashion, entertainment, business and culture, our PR pros are sharing some of September’s biggest moves from reporters, editors and more.  

ABC News

Lauren Sher has been promoted to director of Good Morning America Digital. Previously, she was the managing editor of GMA Digital and has been with ABC News since 2008.

Fox News

Rupert Murdoch is stepping down as chairman of Fox Corporation and Fox News. Murdoch grew the global media empire for over seven decades. His elder son, Lachlan Murdoch, who currently serves as chief executive of Fox Corporation, will become sole chairman of both companies.

Harper’s Bazaar

Brooke Bobb recently started a new role as fashion news director at Harper’s Bazaar. Bobb was a senior content editor for Amazon Fashion until January 2023, when she moved to freelance work. She spent over five years with Vogue as a senior fashion news writer prior to joining Amazon Fashion.

Mother Jones

Jamilah King is heading back to Mother Jones to work as an editorial director. She is currently a freelancer and worked at Buzzfeed as a managing editor until May 2023. King is an experienced journalist who has worked at the intersection of race, politics and culture.

NBC News

Chloe Melas joins as an entertainment correspondent, where she’ll be examining the intersection between entertainment, business and culture. Melas is based in New York and previously covered entertainment for CNN.

Vogue

Madeline Harper Fass has been promoted to senior market editor and was previously a fashion market editor. Fass has worked at the title for over six years, having joined the market team from Teen Vogue.
